Biography
Born to Welsh parents in London, Edward Thomas has been cited as one of the most important English poets of his period. Though a prolific writer throughout his adult life, he only began writing poetry in 1914, under the encouragement of American poet Robert Frost. He only published six poems, under a pseudonym, before he was killed in the Battle of Arras. His first book of poems came out after his death in 1917.
